Established, Reputable, Historic
Practice History
The Orthodontic Practice was established on Rodney Street in 1947 by Harold Watkin
who was a leading light in orthodontics.
In 1933 he was appointed President of the British Society for the Study of Orthodontics
and was well known for his pioneering research into the engineering of fixed braces.
The Orthodontic Practice was one of the first specialist practices in the country
and quickly developed a reputation for quality amongst Liverpool’s dental community.
A succession of owners have followed who have constantly upgraded the practice to
keep in line with the latest developments in orthodontic treatment.
The current practitioners Chris Woodier and Tim Martin joined The Orthodontic Practice
in 1985 and 1992 respectively.
They have continued to build on the practice’s excellent reputation and today it
is one of the largest and most highly respected in the Liverpool area.
