Chris Woodier – specialist orthodontist

Chris qualified from Liverpool University in 1979, then started work as a house
officer at Liverpool Dental Hospital. He spent some time lecturing in restorative
dentistry before gaining a place on the postgraduate orthodontic course at Manchester
Dental School. On completion, he gained his orthodontic qualification from the Royal
College Of Surgeons London in 1985.
He joined The Orthodontic Practice in 1985 as a specialist orthodontist.
Chris is married with 2 school age children.
Tim Martin – specialist orthodontist
BDS Sheffield, 1983; DPGDS Bristol 1997

Tim qualified from Sheffield University in 1983, then spent 18 months working as
a general dental practitioner in the north east. Between 1986 and 1989 he worked
in the oral surgery and orthodontic departments of Barnsley District General Hospital,
Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Sheffield Dental Hospital. He then returned to general
dental practice in Sheffield.
Tim joined The Orthodontic Practice in May 1992. For 8 years he sat on the Local
Dental Committee and is currently a member of the Dental Forum. He was admitted
to the Specialist List for Orthodontics in 2004.
Tim is married with 3 teenage children.
Sujana Chava – specialist orthodontist
BDS Dharwad, India 1996, MDS (Orthodontics) 1999; MOrth RCS 2000
General Dental Council Number 84041
After qualifying in India Sujana spent 3 years working in UK hospitals before taking
maternity leave in 2002. She returned to work in 2004, and joined us in April 2005
from Liverpool Dental Hospital.
Sujana is married with 2 children.
Ina Stanley – senior nurse
Ina joined the Orthodontic Practice in 1978, and after a break to have her children,
qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1999.
Ina continued her dental education, successfully completing a Radiography and Radiation
Protection Course in 2000, and gaining Certificates in Oral Health Education and
Orthodontic nursing in 2001 and 2005. In recognition of her achievements, Ina was
awarded her City and Guilds Licentiateship in 2007.
